<proximity> is a magazine devoted to new dance/movement and improvisation practise. It has a focus on Contact Improvisation, movement improvisation and other related forms.

<proximity> relies enitrely on reader contributions and subscriptions. We accept unsolicited articles.
In fact, we'd love you to send something in for us to publish. Send us your articles, thoughts, ideas, teachings, prose, poetry, recipes, reviews, photos, drawings, comments and feedback.

<proximity> is a tool and a resource for those who choose to use it. We hope to encourage polemic and debate within the field of movement/dance and improvisation. We also hope to offer an opportunity for people to articulate their practise/investigations and share their knowledge.

In addition to our podcast section of our site - where you can now listen to audio versions of many of our recent interviews and other fascinating recordings - we have also recently added a blog section. The jumping off point is an online discussion appearing in our April 2008 edition. Check it out and add your own comments/thoughts.

For the moment there will only be limited resources online. That is, only some articles/writings will appear on these pages.
