Hello once more.

This edition of <proximity> marks the end of the fifth year of publication. That means there are 20 issues floating around out there with articles, interviews and
images from across Australia and around the world. It’s been an exhausting process keeping the magazine up and running but I think it has been well worth it.

Thanks to all of the people who take the time to contribute. By doing so they are contributing to more than a magazine - they are help shaping a community and define a history of improvisational movement practise. They are sharing their investigations and explorations with anyone who cares to read and in doing so they are pouring their knowledge into the communal pool.

Go swimming. Fish around. Take a dip. Or have a long hot soak. And when you’ve dried off, see if you’ve got something to add back into the pool.

Thanks to Martin Keogh for his engaging article on centring and grounding and to Wendy Smith, John Britton and Hilary Elliot for their ongoing discussion on improvisation and performance. Thanks to Hellene Gronda for providing the quotes.
